Can Lint support increment check in the future?

Hi,  I wonder if there is a possibility for lint task to support increment checks.

As our project grows, it's too slow to execute lint task for the whole project. in AGP 3.x ,
we have found a way to support increment check for git diff files, so we have done some hooks to fasten lint checking, but after upgrading to AGP 7.x, we found the apis were totally different. now it's hard for our project to use lint to do some checks
