I'm exploring options for controlling an si570 chip from linrad to
provide tuning for a simple SDR. To that end I have a bumblebee
(fletchtronics) + si570 interface pcb to make up when I get the time.
So to avoid re-inventing the wheel, has anyone written code to control
an si570 via the bumblebee card?

Also has anyone written an interface to control the softrock V9.0
receiver from linrad? Or the V6.3 tranceiver?

Regards,

Andrew

There is some python code to control the si570

I'm not sure what it will take to interface Linrad to the python
code, but it should be possible.

How does the bumblebee fit into the softrock v9 control?

Josh,

The bumblebee isn't being used to control softrock V9, but just an si570 connected to a softrock lite + filters, or some other experimental front end.  I don't have a V9 because a) I couldn't find any reference to it's use with Linux and b) I haven't been on the website at a time when they have been available!  a) ultimately wouldn't stop me getting one, but b) certainly does.

I have the bumblebee because I know it will work with Linux.
