Hello all
I've been in EME for a few years but sadly  haven't tried Linrad before..
I am aware it is best to use this for adaptive polarization but due to increased qrm and some birdies present on my qth, I decided to give it a try..

I have some questions and problems I am facing..I hope I can get some quick answers..

First of all, I am using Linrad with IC-705..

It is on AF mode now but I will give it a try on IF mode soon.
I wonder if this will help with any improvements on performance or selectivity or not..

Now a problem.. I am using Win10 and if I try to use 64 bit mode of Linrad, at some point all screens closes..
Sometimes during soundcard selection.. sometimes during rx.. No problem with 32 bit. I wonder if it is a known issue or any solutions exist..

My second question..
Do I need any calibration for AF input? From the documentation I notice it is mostly about SDR reception..

Third question.. Any tricks to handle the noise and lots of birdies coming from my neighbors chinese leds or power supplies? I already enabled spur removal in auto mode
Even tried removing manually by pressing E but nothing changed on my MSHV/WSJT spectrum.

And for radio control.. I see there are Icom Kenwood and a few SDRs on the cat command screen.
I wonder if it is possible to add omnirig to control for a large number of rigs. I am running mshv wsjtx pstrotator all connected to radio by omnirig interface so switching to ICOM cat control will give me some headache.

Ok, you probably get tired of reading..so last question.
When I open the Linrad (without rig control) it opens on a large bw spectrum..
My radio now gives only a 3 khz of bw and sure it is possible to zoom in but , I wonder if there is a way to limit the receiving bandwidth at startup.
Plus, It opens at 144.310 but my frequency sync with radios real rx is at 144.312.. is there a default setting to open it at 312?

For start I guess this questions are more than enough

Thank you

Hello.

Linrad's adaptive RX was designed for CW and works well for that.
I believe it will fail when trying it on digital modes.
Linrad noise blanker is only effective on high pulse levels. Over here that noise blanker fails on LED lights.
On 2 meters, I have had the best results with a rig connected to WSJTX.
Best to control LED QRM with low sidelobe yagis or better yet fix it at the source.
