Now I have some freetime I am tweaking my Linrad , and I like to use
the emedir function.
Anyone of you has tranlated latest call3.txt converted to the
needed .dta and.skd files for Linrad ?
Or a hint where to download ?

Linrad Reads four files:
char *eme_allcalls_filename={"/home/emedir/allcalls.dta"};
char *eme_emedta_filename={"/home/emedir/eme.dta"};
char *eme_dirskd_filename={"/home/emedir/dir.skd"};
char *eme_call3_filename={"/home/emedir/CALL3.TXT"};
Information is collected from all of them and if there
are any differences they are listed in
char *eme_error_report_file={"/home/emedir/location_errors.txt"};
so you can decide which infromation you want to remove from
one of the files.
It is a long time since I worked with this and I do not
know whether the format of call3.txt may have changed.
NOTE: Under linux you must use the file name CALL3.TXT
with capital letters.

I thinks its better to run the network setup - if the same PC 127.0.0.1 or
spezi.. IP to the MAP65 PC.
I have had here big problems a little bigger network - by sending Mulitcase
like in the default settings!
It send a round 3 MBit/s IP Pakets into the network.

I found some info here:
http://bigskyspaces.com/w7gj/tracker.htm
"You can also obtain program WsjtMerge.zip from K2TXB,
to combine various versions of CALLSIGN.TXT. Be sure to
select the W7GJ format if you want to preserve all the
data fields in the CALL3.TXT file from this site."
Linrad only understands the original call3.txt format as
supplied with the original wsjt program.
I have no idea what the different formats are now and
whether it would be easy or difficult to update
Linrad to understand them all.

The format of CALL3.TXT has never changed. It's the same as
it has always been.

This error message seems perfectly clear. Linrad objects to
an unusually long line, probably around line number 33.
(Perhaps in line 35 or 36, as there are likely to be a few
header lines at the top.)
Edit the long line to remove unnecessary stuff near the end.
Linrad (and WSJT, for that matter) use only the first two
or three comma-separated fields. Then read the file into
Linrad again.
Depending on what you have in your file, you may need to do
edit more than one extra-long line.

Problem solved :)
Out of 5734 calls there was one callsign with wrong locator ( 7
charactors) which was causing the error message
Tnx all for help

But be warned that this program is quite old and may also not support newer
versions of Call3.txt. So be sure you make a copy of your originals in case
of corruption...

Tnx for the info and the link to the useful program.
We do have a total of nearly 6000 call in the database which are accessible
from the Linrad program.
We ran in problems to get the eme database and moontracking function of
Linrad working. All is fixed now.

Once again, to avoid any possible confusion: there are no
"newer versions of CALL3.TXT". The format of this file is
the same as it has always been.
