In mode B - Normal CW and other modes, you can click in the baseband window (green lines) to tune or use the mouse wheel or click in the main spectrum (blue lines).

But, only clicking in the main spectrum seems to tune in mode A. Can you not tune in the baseband window and if not, how should tuning be done to fine tune?

Also, I see in the second fft window (the red lines) there is either a vertical yellow or a green line. What does that line mean?

Thanks in advance,

Hi Rick,

When you enable AFC you are supposed to want the AFC to keep the signal
at the passbans center. Select the desired signal in the second fft window.
If you have a very wide bandwidth in the main spectrum, first select the range
there, then click the desired signal in the second fft.

The yellow line is the frequency you selected. It turns green when the AFC
has sucessfully locked on the signal.

The weak signal mode is for slow CW with signals at the noise floor. Useful
for EME. The delay would typically be set to 5 seconds or more which would
be OK for Rx/Tx periods of one minute or more.

Thanks Leif,

I am sure that I was not turning off the AFC so it was locked.

I was using this on very weak non-directional beacons and it was working
very well.

Thanks again.

I tried this again Leif.

I am in mode - A and I can tune in the main waterfall, the blue lines.

I have the AFC off, the window AFC window shows "-" and then I click in the baseband waterfall, the green lines, to tune and nothing happens when I click the spectrum or the waterfall. The mouse wheel does not tune either.

I must be doing something wrong, but I don't know what it is?

Rick
