RX UNDERRUN ERROR and RX A/D SPEED ERRORand sometimes NO INPUT

Hi all,

I use LINRAD in Newcomer mode and AFEDRI dual channel SDR. SDR and PC are connected via WIFI and the PC runs Windows 10. The system can run for hours without any problem but sometimes the speed error message pops up. However, the system seems to work without problems. My impression is that when I start changing the frequency the other errors may appear. When the message NO INPUT comes on the reception will stop until the message disappears after a few seconds. I use the setup in an RDF system using the phase window and the program doesn't care much about the messages but if there are too many error messages LINRAD can hang. I have no other applications running at the same time as LINRAD on the PC.

Any tips on what the problem might be?

Roland the simple answer is to use an Ethernet cable, then you will really see rock solid operation. I used an Afedri AFE822x for several years on 2m EME with Linrad and MAP65. It worked very well. No under-runs.

Thanks Conrad. That was the magic solution. No more errors :-). I have now connected the computer and the SDR to an ethernet switch which is also connected to the WIFI network and router as advised earlier by Rick K9AO. The WIFI network was not good for transferring data between the SDR and the PC.
