I am trying to install Linrad (in Win 10) for RSP DUO from https://github.com/fventuri/linrad
but without success. My current RSP API is 3.15 since I use the latest SDR Connect software. In "How to RUN"  section 3.09 is recommended. Do I need to install this older API in order to run Linrad?

Good catch Chavdar - that README is a bit obsolete, and you should definitely use the latest version (currently 3.15) of the SDRplay API.

What do you exactly mean by 'without success'?
Are you try to run the latest binary for Windows from this page? https://github.com/fventuri/linrad/releases/tag/6.00pre-1095-SM5BSZ

 Hi Frank,,
Yes I use linrad64-API3.15.exe .  I tried several times with different settings  ( hacking) and get different unsuccessful results which I cannot explain in details now. Tomorrow I will try to make a systematic approach in order to be able to ask a specific questions.
Frank,  Thank you for the fast reply .

I see Franco already responded to the old API version error in the readme.

Yes, use the 3.15 API. And *no*, you do not have it because you are
running SDRconnerct. SDRconnect does not use the SDRplay API, but it
uses another method to talk to the RSP.

The easiest way to get the API issue right is to install the latest
version of SDRuno from the SDRplay web site and then you will get the
correct API installed too. Plus SDRuno is there to use and to test with.

After that you need to copy 2 files from C:\Program
Files\SDRplay\API\x64 these are sdrplay_api.dll and sdrplay_api.lib and
place a copy of these files in the C:\Linrad\dll\64\ directory. After
that Linrad will see the API and use option T to select the SDRplay RSP.

Let me know if you have trouble after that.

Be sure to run Linrad in Expert mode or you won't even be exposed to the
settings that need to be set right to make it work optimally. That's too
much to type so let me know if you get that far along please.

 Hi Franko & Rick,

It is ok now. My intial file setup was ok but the problem was in installation setup. At the beginning I tried to install the simplest single channel mode – this is my style.  But there was a problem : when   non zero IF was chosen the configuration file shows  zero sampling rate?  and the installations stops and behavior was unpredictable. At the end I tried zero IF and it works. There is probably a bug or I am doing something wrong. I was stuck with this problem and did not tried dual channel mode. But  the dual channel mode has no problems and it works well.   At the end   the binaural diversity  mode was set and I enjoy listening with two orthogonal (Hor/Vert) loops.   It is a real  binaural diversity and RSP duo + Linrad  work as it should.   Before I tried different software  in order to achieve this mode but without any success.   Many thanks to Leif, Frank , Piotr and Rick  for giving me a chance to  get this mode in digital way.

Regards, Chavdar lz1aq
