Hy  Juan

The network traffic is „offline“.

Press T in the Main menu windows.

At the left side you will see NETSEND

Press W

Enter again A or D

To sum up:

- MAP65 dosn`receive data from Linrad
- I can`t fiind the “par_ssb_hg” file to check “map65 gain” and “map65 strong”.

You can find screenshots.

Please help to test Linrad and MAP65 this weekend.

TNX in advance.

Hello,

First of all, Leif TNX for your quick answer.  Now I don’t have the internal error 1281, nice!.

Now when I am on SSB mode type “T” and I can see the comunications in the left lower corner.  Then I go to MAP65 and select network, accept and no data is received.  Both Linrad and MAP65 are on the same PC.

I can attach the screenshots because a problem with explorer, but If I had your email I could send them.

I though perhaps the levels aren’t right, so folowing the ON4KHG March 2012 User Guide, in the FAQ section “Linrad and MAP65 V2” I checked the par_ssb file the “First FFT amplitude” and “First backward FFT att. N” and the are right.  But I couldn’t fiind the “par_ssb_hg” file to check “map65 gain” and “map65 strong”.

So I think I still to tell to Linrad something about MAP65 to create the “par_ssb_hg”.

When I have time I will try to calibrate the fcdpp with Linrad.

TNX in advance.

Hi All,

I have decided to devote some time to run LINRAD with MAP65.  I have lasted more than 6 hours to engage the fcdpp and Linrad, although I still have to calibrate it.  It is not a friendly software, isn’t it?.  At the beginning my girlfrind neither was very friendly and now he is my wife!

But my question is that following the User Guide of ON4KHG of March 2012 to run LINRAD and MAP65 in the same PC (Case 4: Linrad on master to MAP65 on master), in network menu,

-In the line 2 set 127.0.0.1
- In the line 8 (Send timf2 (blanker output) on (port=5004))
- “0” to return to the main menu
- “T” to send data
- “W” to save
- “D” to go to SSB mode

Then appear the following message:

“Internal error: 1281
The network is enabled in transmit mode and the nerwork setup has selected TIMF2 and/or FFT2 output.  The processing mode you tried to enter has disabled the second fft so there will be no data sent to the network.  Restart Linrad, Use “T” to disable network transmit (do not save with W) Then enter the normal processing mode and enable the second fft.”

The program closes itself and I have to make again a copy to the Nice Linrad folder to the Trial Linrad folder to follow playing.

What have I been doing wrong?

If I don’t pass this step MAP65 will not read data from LINRAD.

I only have the intetion to use my fcdpp with MAP65 on 144 MHz, so all the comments are in this way:

1.- I think I have all the RF levels right, so MAP65 works at least as well as with direct connection between fcdpp and MAP65.

2.- Because of the kind of local noise the Dumb Blanker works right between 0 and 8, higher than 8 I became to lost the traces.

3.- At the moment I don´t have serious interferences of other type than normal noise from warm ground, I think it is not neccesary to calibrate the Smart Blanker.

At this point and speaking about fcdpp and MAP65, Is it necesary some aditional adjusments?

After reading, I imagine that Dumb Blanker from Linrad is a “bit” better than the NB from Map65, but appart from this, Should I play with other parameters to improve my RX?

What is your advice?

I am terrified by making changes in the baseband window!

Thank you very much in advance.
