Here's a pull request that adds variance wherever possible
(Funcs/Actions/some interfaces).

For this I first had to upgrade the solution and projects to the .NET 4
toolchain:

Pulled and thanks. The build script was out of sync with solution but
fixed[1] it to use MS Build 4.
