Imentioned this couple of times in HP Reverb thread but nobody picked up. Until recently I have adjusted the SS and stuff generally from the steamVR. Now I want to do it individually for DCS. I added the DCS to steam by Games-Add a Non-Steam Game to my Library. I chose DCS_updater.exe
I launch the DCS over the DCS Updater Utility, I am not sure that the settings are really picked up by steamVR, probably, but I just can not figure why in this case I get a clean start with Oculus and Revive.
In my Updater Utility I have activated the Steam VR and something with Rendering and Steam in the options. I wonder if I would need to add some command line options to steam library as well to get a clean launch that way? Does anybody know the launch options used by Updater Utility?
Have you tried launching it over the Skatezilla's DCS Updater Utility and setting the SteamVR in those two options (application settings Oculus Rift/Oculus Mirror Configuration to SteamVR API and External Applications Steam VR Client). In my case it does not launch the Oculus software and I am pretty sure that these options invoke some command line option...
If you go to the executable for Oculus, right click, and click on "compatibility settings", you can set Oculus to "Run As Administrator". That will make it so you will have to manually start the Oculus software, so it won't automatically run anymore.
Sure, I could remove the whole revive and Oculus, not a big loss. I think I am not going to play Dirt Rally that much and I have a working solution - yet I am curious. Can't you see somehow what parameters Skatezilla uses for execution?
I used to have an Oculus Rift, but sold it and bought a superior HP Reverb G2. For years I have due to the Steam addon Revive program still been able to play the Oculus games that I bought, and the awesome RoboRecall and The Climb, which is not available for other non Facebook/Meta headsets.
But since recently Revive will not recognize me logging in to access my games, probably due to Meta changing stuff.
Is there some other way to access and play my games, or are every game I have bought through the Oculus Store gone forever for me now? There's games for over $200 in total in my library.
I will not buy a new Meta headset. Facebook/Meta have somewhat good products, but have not impressed me as a user friendly company throughout the years. Quite opposite, and frankly this doesn't help.
I just want to play the games that I already have bought and payed a great deal for during the last couple of years, fair and simply.
Hello, you will need to disable 2FA in the oculus account is enabled, even if the oauth revive authentication error is displayed, everything should work. Working for me May 2024. Remember that Revive is an open source app not officially supported, or could stop working anytime.
It seems the steam controller model is back, even without using steamvr beta. I think a steamvr update is to blame. Also, many of the buttons have stopped working in steamvr home, but work fine in the normal menu and games (not a big issue).
I think most of the games I was talking about were Oculus games using revive, and I didnt realise. Namely, Bullettrain, Magic Table Chess, VR Multigames, all the free ones basically. KTANE is definitely steamvr though. I am able to get most steamvr games working.
But as far as I can tell, the problem is the same in SteamVR Home as it is in revive. That leads me to think (just guessing, I know nothing) that it is a steam problem rather than a revive one.
I am trying to map the A key from my HP Reverb 2 (WMR) controller but although it appears under the main devices window I cannot see it in the VR Controllers and trackers window to then assign it to a keyboard press. Anyone any ideas?
So I got a Vive recently and followed your steps. It's been almost a year since this post I know but it was all I found so far and I had some questions. It didn't seem to work quite right and I thought maybe you were still around or someone else might know.
It does actually work like it will run the game on the Vive but there are some weird things that make it very hard to use. First the interface always goes at really weird angles and can end up anywhere on the screen. If the chat window is open it's big and right in the middle of the screen so I can't really see anything else when it is up. Sometimes the interface is up above me and sometimes I have to look almost down at the floor to see it. Also whenever I put the dot over anything that scrolls it always scrolls up to the very top and gets stuck there. So for example I can't really use the chat box at all because it scrolls all the way up to the first message and it won't let me ever scroll back down. It does the same thing with any menu that scrolls.
For using the mouse, for me I just get a dot at the center of the screen that I can point at stuff with, and then I can use the mouse button to click that dot. That's the only thing the mouse really does for me. Is that normal?
Hi, I've been trying to get the game to run through Revive, I don't think most of the steps above are still useful as Revive now has an inject button.
Still, I tryed a bit of everything I could find, and in the end, the game simply doesn't start by injecting, it shows in Oculus home library, but not Revive dashboard.
Any idea?
didnt change anything else but its working now...run steam vr,revive and occulus then log in from steam library page...go to settings amd the occulus button should now be clickable.press apply and it shows up in the headset. cool.
