Join us this Wednesday, November 5th, 2025 (8AM PT / 11AM ET / 5PM CET), for a free virtual 2.5 hr LinkML workshop at the 16th International Conference on Biological and Biomedical Ontology (ICBO)!

The workshop, titled "Annotating Data with Ontologies: LinkML Can Help," will be led by Sierra Moxon, Corey Cox, and Kevin Schaper.  LinkML (Linked Data Modeling Language) is an open framework that simplifies the authoring, validation, and sharing of data.  The tutorial will provide an introduction to LinkML, making it perfect for anyone just beginning to use or interested in using LinkML. By the end of the session, participants will:

  • How to set up a LinkML schema repository locally.

  • Understand how ontologies are used in LinkML.

  • Learn to integrate ontologies into LinkML models, focusing on creating controlled vocabularies, mappings, and enumerations based on existing ontologies.

  • Learn to validate data against LinkML schemas.

While participation is free, advance registration is required. Register here by Tuesday, November 4th at 5PM PT / 8PM ET / 2AM CET: https://icbo-conference.github.io/icbo2025/registration/
