| Virtual LinkML Symposium Registration is now open for the 2026 Virtual LinkML Community Symposium being held December 2nd and 3rd, 2026, from 15:00 to 19:00 UTC both days. The Symposium will consist of short presentations by community members plus Q&A, with thematic sessions if the topics cluster. While participation is free, advance registration by December 1st is required via this form. You will receive a calendar hold once registered. If you want to present something at the Symposium, you are invited to submit a short abstract via this form.

| December Developer Days December Developer Days (aka DDD) are a chance for developers to work on small tickets, add documentation, increase test coverage, and work on other tasks estimated to take ~5 hours or less that otherwise may not get prioritized. During this time, we are happy to help new developers work on first issues or otherwise get started on the development of LinkML. Find logistical information below. | LinkML-Map v0.5.4 (Release Notes)
Highlights: Behavior change: enum expressions were silently bypassing the --unrestricted-eval gate, but they are now properly gated. Check specs before upgrading. Python 3.14 support added. New Parquet/DuckDB columnar output for map-data.

| Schema Automator v0.5.7 (Release Notes)
Highlights: Migrated off the deprecated linkml.utils.schema_builder re-export ahead of its removal in linkml 1.12. Now installs cleanly on Python 3.14. |

Highlights: New record.checkbox module for lossless round-tripping between REDCap's flat checkbox export columns and LinkML multivalued-slot values. |

| Preparing for linkml 1.12 |

| Code importing SchemaBuilder from linkml.utils.schema_builder will break once 1.12 ships. Switch to linkml_runtime.utils.schema_builder now. Because of bug fixes and feature implementation, regenerating JSON Schema, SHACL, Pydantic, OpenAPI, Java, or PlantUML output after upgrading may produce slightly different files. Generated JSON-LD becomes fully reproducible. Regenerating the same schema twice will now always produce identical output, which matters if you diff artifacts in CI. If your schemas use inverse or other relational metaslots, expect fixes in 1.13. Some are currently dropped silently by the OWL generator or missed by linting.
