Dear Members:
Our meeting is scheduled for July 30th, on Friday at 7:00 PM.
Details at:
http://meeting.linkedintoronto.com. It is 9 days away
and its our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY for Toronto Networking Meetings
group!
From its
humble beginning of 2-3 dozen members, we currently host an amazing
1200+ combined membership from Linkedin (
http://www.LinkedinToronto.com -- 980 members) and Meetup (
http://meetup.linkedintoronto.com/
- 230 members). My desire to meet and network with people in Toronto
on Linkedin has paid off in ways I did not imagine. Please RSVP and
ensure you commit to your RSVP as seating is limited to 150 - 200
attendees.
I am grateful to the City of Toronto and my City Councilor John Filion
Ward 23 for their generous support in providing us access to city
facilities - which would have otherwise been extremely difficult.
A diverse variety of Canadians and new arrivals to Toronto from all
corners of the globe, with an extremely diverse range of professional
and entrepreneurial skill set, has made this group one of the most
successful networking groups (that does not charge any membership
fees). We are expecting the group to increase to 2,000 members before
the end of this year with your support. We have relied on the generous
contribution of its members
providing financial support and skills support to expand and evolve
this group to not just a professional networking group but also a
social group. In the last one year, I have made more friends and
professional contacts in Toronto than I have ever before!
Please join us for another amazing evening and recruit a new member by
inviting your friend or a family member. Refreshments,
pizza and snacks will be served at this event.
Few important notes:
SPONSORS NEEDED: We are looking for 4-5 sponsors for this
event who are willing to
sponsor an amount of $200. All 100% of the proceeds will be put back
into the groups expenses for refreshments and supplies. Any amount
left towards the end of the year is put back into the community in the
form of donations to a charity. Each sponsor will have a table to
show case their product or service and to hand out flyers. Each
sponsor will also be featured in our announcement list along with the
profile of the CEO or business owner.
DONATIONS: Individual donation of any amount you wish to donate for group activities is also appreciated.
Make sure you are given your receipt.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: If you wish to volunteer by helping in
coordinating events by arranging tables and managing future events,
please send an email to volu...@linkedinToronto.com
WOULD YOU LIKE TO PRESENT A LECTURE? If you are a subject
matter expert in a topic that you feel might benefit the general
audience, I request you send a formal proposal of the topic you wish to
present along with the benefits it may have for the audience. Please
send the proposal to
lec...@linkedintoronto.com.
This month's room availability was on the 30th of July. Only 9 days
away - and I know you might have some prior obligations for Friday
evening with your family or a loved one. Please feel free to bring
along your toddler, young or teenage children and let them learn the
value of a good handshake and the power of networking. This group
values the participation of family members and encourages young
entrepreneurs.
I have been away for the past couple of meetings and I thank the
volunteers who made the events possible during my absence. I am back
home in Toronto and I look forward to seeing many of you once again! This is our 1 year anniversary and I anticipate a good gathering.
Kind regards,
Reza.
