White Elephant for Hadoop 2.x

I am just curious if there will ever be a version of this project that will be compatible with later releases of Hadoop. On the github page, it says that this version is currently only compatible with Hadoop 1.x. Does anybody have any idea when a newer version might be released?

No immediate plans yet.  We do welcome contributions though ;)
