Python error on **line 568** of lm_util.py in Linkage Mapper Version 3.0.0

Hi, 

I need a quick help. I am struck in an error from few days, I checked every possible way to solve this, but the error every time pop up after 90% complication. I am working in a window 10, ArcGIS 10.8 and Linkage mapper 3.0 environment, with a 12 GB ram. I project core areas vector and resistance raster in WGS 84. I made a column for core area file for the "Core Area Field Name". 

It says,

Python error on **line 568** of lm_util.py in Linkage Mapper Version 3.0.0:
SystemError: error return without exception set
---------------------------------

---------------------------------

Failed to execute (MapLinkages).

Can anyone solve this problem!! It will be a real help to me.

Hello Ritam,

Please try it with the latest version of the software: https://linkagemapper.org/Downloads/

If that does not fix, then please keep using it, and first question: amidst all of those tries, was the error the same?

And does the sample data / tutorial work fine on your machine?

Thank you for your quick response. I have  used the latest 3.0.0.

The tutorial data runs fine, but I made core file like the tutorial and made a resistance surface from SDM. Can you please give some suggestions why I got this error?

Hello Ritam,

Latest version is 3.1.  I'll reply directly to you and we can have a side thread and not ping the list too frequently. Lets try to remember to report back with the solution though.

A report back on the below is that we found the culprit! One of the core areas included a bit of area not included in the resistance surface.
