Hi all,

I have been running the Linkage Pathways tool seemingly successfully (no error or warning messages in the processing log), however the output, particularly the cwd raster, contains gaps of NoData cells. I've attached a screenshot showing the cwd raster with the white areas gaps that have no data. Is this normal in the output?

Thanks,

HI James, Thanks for the screengrab.  Maybe those are from the resistance surface?  If not sure, can you send a couple screengrabs?   One with and without the cores on top? Thanks, John

Hi John,

Thank you for the response. I have attached a couple of screenshots (these are from a different run as I have deleted the previous result), one with core habitat areas (in pink) and one without. The third image is the resistance raster - it looks like the gaps correspond to one particular value in the resistance raster (shown in the teal colour within the resistance raster which match up to the gaps). I'm using values of 0 to 100 and the teal colour is the value of 10.

Hmm, I've never seen this problem before as far as I can remember.  Seems like a problem specific to your configurations so lets take the discussion off list and remember to report back if it is something that might apply to others.  So, you can just reply to me.

As a next step, lets transfrom the resistance surface do that it ranges from 1-101 or 1-100 if you prefer.  This is because it is a best practice to have lowest resistance a 1 instead of 0, and it will transform those values to be something other than 10, in case that number is the problem.  So, you could just add 1, or get fancy.

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

Thanks very much for the information. I tried some more runs changing the resistance value of 0 to 1 and that resolved the issue.

Thanks,
James
