Hi John and community,

First of all, thank you very much for this amazing tool. I have been working with it for a long time, and it has been extremely useful.

I would like to ask for some help regarding an issue I am currently experiencing with the additional tool Centrality Mapper.

I am modeling four species. The first one is Leopardus pardalis in Area A, and the tool worked perfectly. However, when I tried to use it for Tapirus terrestris in the same area (Area A), the program started having problems.

At first, I thought the issue was related to Circuitscape, so I uninstalled it and installed it again. However, the same problem appeared. To verify this, I ran another project using Bubulcus ibis in Area B, and everything worked correctly. But when I tried to run Tapirus terrestris in Area A again, it still did not work.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have any suggestions about what might be causing this problem?

Thank you in advance for your help.

NOTE: ArcGIS errors are more likely when writing to remote drives or deep file structures. We recommend shallow project directories on local drives, like C:\puma. Errors may also result from conflicts with anti-virus software (known problems with AVG). We have also seen conflicts when writing to synchronized folders like DROPBOX.

Note also that Linkage Mapper tools often work best when run from ArcCatalog instead of ArcMap.

Hello Juan,

So great to hear that you are a long time user and that it has been extremely useful!

Glad that Centrality Mapper is working for most of your species in most areas.  What about Tapirus is making it fail?  hmmm.

One possibility is that one of the core areas overlays with a null value in the resistance surface.  In such a scenario, the "Map Linkages and Network" tool works, but some of the secondary tools do not.

Or maybe it needs at least 2 components? One the ones that worked, you can look at what it said in the line there, that in Tapir reads "    --- Graph has 16 nodes and 1 components. --- "

If one of those solves it, please let us know.

If that does not, please reply to me directly and then lets report back to this thread once we find a solution or at least with what we tried.

Thanks,

John
