タイトル：Referential Readings of Reflexives

要旨：Reflexives have bound readings, but do they have referential readings?  In this talk, I argue that they do.  The key fact for my argument is that reflexives in DP pivots of Right Node Raising constructions can have strict readings.  I first argue that these Right Node Raising examples should be analyzed as multidominant, and then show that such a multidominant analysis requires reflexives to be referential in order to produce the observed strict readings.  Thus, reflexives are like pronouns in having both bound and referential readings, except reflexives have to satisfy Condition A, not B.  I will also discuss some consequences my work has on Condition A.
