要旨：This talk uses the core data characterizing Japanese pitch accent at the word level to explore the space defined by the factorial typology of the system of constraints proposed in Ito and Mester 2012. The main tool is OTWorkplace, a software suite developed by Alan Prince (Rutgers University) and collaborators that uses Excel as a platform for interactive research with the analytical instruments of modern rigorous OT.
