Dear all,
I hope you're all doing well. It seems that each linguistic landscape
workshop bears its own technological fruit...after the Siena workshop
a little over a week ago, it was decided to set up a blog that anybody
could contribute to. I think the idea is that this Google group might
be used for making announcements of a general nature, and that the
blog could be used for presenting and discussing new ideas, sharing
news items, etc. It's at
http://linguisticlandscape.blogspot.com
Everyone on this list is of course welcome to become a contributor to
the blog and write or comment whenever you are moved to do so...the
more the merrier. I've just put a short post following an email from
Thom letting us know about a photo exhibit on signs at a museum in San
Francisco, California.
If you want to become a contributor the blog (there are already about
20 contributors though everyone seems to be shy to write :), send an
email to
llsie...@gmail.com and you'll be sent an invitation.
Also, there's been a flickr photo sharing group set up,
http://www.flickr.com/groups/linguisticlandscape/, so please
contribute to that too if you'd like.
Best,
David in Berkeley
