Quick Question on Lexical Diversity Measures

 Greetings!

I wanted to be sure that I was understanding correctly that MATTR and MTLD measures are reliable and valid lexical diversity measures while TTR and Voc-D are not as reliable a measure across the varying lengths of texts. 

Could someone please explain why?
