Dear LingComm-ers,

If you're on this mailing list, then there's a good chance that you've already engaged the public with language science. Maybe it's something you do on a regular basis, maybe you're just starting. Either way, we'd really appreciate it if you would consider participating in a survey we're conducting to better understand the barriers researchers face when communicating with non-academic publics.

We’re looking for:

  • researchers from any field in any career stage (from PhD to professor) in any country

  • who have done some sort of science communication or public engagement or outreach in the past 3 years.

Completion time is around 20 minutes, depending on how thorough your answers are.

Access the survey here: https://umdsurvey.umd.edu/jfe/form/SV_b2CA9DHA45eWb7U

And yes, the survey really is open to researchers from ALL fields, so if you have colleagues/friends/family who you think might be interested and willing to take part, please pass it on.

Thanks and best wishes,

Charlotte Vaughn (University of Maryland, USA) & Sharon Unsworth (Radboud University, the Netherlands)
