Did you know that the entire staff of HonestReporting consists of little more than a dozen staff operating from a small office in Jerusalem? Dollar for dollar, it's amazing how much we get done.
If each one of the people who visited our website in 2011 were to donate just a single dollar, we would not have to do any fund-raising. But not everyone can or will donate. That’s why I am reaching out to you.
Think about the impact that HonestReporting makes. In 2011, we published over 400 media bias communiqués, special reports, blog posts, and media studies. Our staffers were interviewed and published in print and online. The HonestReporting editors and I spoke at dozens of public events from Los Angeles to Sydney. We created a series of videos and multimedia presentations that helped our YouTube channel attract over 700,000 views. Our website is now attracting over 100,000 visits each month.
Many people think we are funded by the Israeli government or a single large foundation. But that has never been the way HonestReporting has paid its bills. We depend on people like you to continue our mission.
