great scope

Here is a 3-9 adjustable power scope with a 40mm objective lens. for medium range scopes this is a good size. The forty mm lens opening lets in plenty of light and the 3-9 adjustment is plenty for a 556 rifle. Whhy I paid 100 dollars more was for the "firedot" in the center of the Cross hairs. It is a small pin size light in green that is just the right size to See the target unobstructed. it has windagwe and elevation marks on the crosshairs.
What you don't get is a large or cluttered lighted reticle that obstructs target. you don't get hard to see crosshairs. You don't get a diminished clarity of view in low light. you don't have to break the bank to purchase. Fine scope and happy with purchase.

Great optic for the $$

So I needed a common sense optic for my AR-10 set up. The illuminated reticle (center dot-green) has several settings from good light to no light. This particular scope came highly recommended for those that want a good workman's optic with functionality, quality and durability (all for under $500). Is it a Swarovski? No. Is it Zeiss? No. But, for what you get, it's a close notch below. Leupold makes higher end models but for anyone looking to reach out with their AR platform weapon or similar rifle, you could not do much better than this.

Go for the "Firedot" option

I put this on my M&P 308 and it is just right. The optics are nice and clear, the eye releif is very good, gets plenty of light and the "Firedot" is the only way to go. If you are looking for an easy to target mid range scope this is a nice way to go.
