woo, we have cars! they are dodge caravans, the choice of humanitarians everywhere!

they are just under 295 each--for a total of 590 dollars.

i have reserved them with my credit card, we may have to change that at the time of rental since i will not be there for return of the vehicles.

but in either case, we can deduct this from our remaining deposit funds.

if it is on my card, i will make the payment. if not, i can write the check from the deposits you have made.

 

the current accounting is at follows, rounded to the nearest few dollars.

deposits made by families: 6, 312

fees for airfare: 320 x 13=4160

church donation: 50 each x 13=650

vans: 295 x2= 590 (each van will be occupied by 7 people)

so, costs for each person is 320 +50 +42=412 this means each person except gaby gets 88 dollars back, and gaby owes me 7 (for airfare), 50 (church donation) and 42 (van fee)

(note: i booked my airfare separately, so it is not included in the totals. i will add my 50 to the church deposit on arrival. and, i have figured an equal share for me in the van cost)
