Hi LinBoxers,

If you missed it, Tim Abbott presented in this thread
http://groups.google.com/group/linbox-devel/browse_thread/thread/c2767229ce88230d
the work he did for packaging LinBox as a debian package. This was done
in the process of packaging Sage in debian.

As I answered in this thread, I will work on fixing the last issues left
for this packaging, which are:
* gmp++ incompatibilities between givaro and linbox
* simple man page issue
* integrating sage's interface to LinBox, linox_wrap, into LinBox
directory interfaces

I will also merge upstream a few patches (from mabshoff) and a new
release of fflas-ffpack, that I have been working on, mostly cleaning up
the bounds computations, and thus fixing some bugs, including the
test-charpoly one, reported by cactus.

The idea is to have a 1.1.6 release that will be ready for debian packaging.

The time frame is rather short since the goal is to get a working .deb
into lenny. So no dramatic changes in the code/interface will appear.

If you have some piece of code that you want to be released and that you
are pretty confident in (wrt reliability), this is the time!

Any other suggestions for the 1.1.6 release?

Cheers,

Clément
