This course describes a new methodology for planning and managing lab
automation programs. Attendees will learn how to develop automation
and technology utilization plans. Those plans will facilitate the
effective use of automation technologies, reducing the cost of
laboratory programs, and provide a solid basis for product
evaluations. The successful use of automation and information
technologies in laboratory applications depends as much upon the
policies and goals defined by lab management as it does on the skills
of those implementing projects.
