Impact of upgrades, training on LIMS operations

greetings, I am curious about the impact that LIMS upgrades, upgrades
to the underlying OS, validation and training have had on lab
operations that had functioning LIMS systems. Were the systems out of
service for a period of time... how long did it take before they were
put back into service.
