Anyone have experience using touchscreen LCDs + LIMS in the lab?

If so, any wisdom to be passed on?

I'm currently looking at a resistive based LCD since the requirements
dictate gloved (latex and/or nitrile) operation.

Plus the unit will have to deal with the occasional IPA (or cetylcide)
wipedown too.

Thanks

It would depend on the environment you wanted to use it in. I was
involved in a "demo" a while ago (we ended up buying it since in the
end because we killed it - they may be hardier now). While it worked
the lab techs loved it, fairly simple to set up (just another input
device really) and made working with protective gear much easier.

I think what ultimately killed the unit we had were acid fumes, but it
may have been the solvents. It was a tough environment.
