Multiple Websites - SEO Marketing Tactics

Actually developing multiple Websites is a great way to generate
leads. It's all in the way you go about developing the content on the
Websites that matters.

I have designed several Websites for a limousine business. First I
developed their main Website. This site had all of their services,
faqs, policies & terms, fleet information, rates, etc. Now, 40% of
their requested transportation work was for wedding services. So, we
wanted to keep the corporate visitors to the main site seeing
corporate transportation services with just the basic information on
leisure/wedding services. So I developed a separate limousine wedding
service Website under a different domain name.

Get creative with your domain by using key word(s) in it. Often I
recomend purchasing several domains for each Website. One that is easy
to remember, then the others for SEO. Don't forget to point or
redirect your extra domains to your main Website IP address.

Now the company can advertise to two diverse markets - Corporate and
users searching for wedding transportation services. Since very little
of the content on the Web pages were the same, Google did not have a
problem indexing the sites. Remember that Google looks at each Web
page on your site and ranks it according to its relevance to the theme
or key phrase/word ("Levittown Executive Transportation", Levittown
Wedding Limousines" etc).

Stay away from copying and pasting the same content (text & pictures)
on multiple Web pages!!!! If you have a wedding service page on your
main Website, make sure you write slightly different text on your
other Website (wedding transportation service site). Here is the key
to the power of having multiple Websites: Inbound Related Links! Make
sure you link all the wedding pages from on site to another, then link
the prom pages, etc. Google wants to see links that are topic relevant
or focused on a specific phrase.

Just as a interesting side note: All the social networking sites(My
Space - Facebook - Twitter - Etc.), Blogs, a Google group, You Tube,
even free picture galleries such as Google's Picasa can all act as
mini Websites for your business! Within each of these sites you can
add your services, pictures, and most importantly add links back to
your main Website.

There is a lot more to this, but you can use many different types of
Websites and Networking sites to generate traffic to your main Website
and help increse your indexed position within the major search
engines.
