strict-mode for URL dispatching?

Hi
Newby question. I'd like to be able to force a strict adherence to the
specified dispatch pattern
Now when I say
dispatch ('/foobar/:aaa/:bbb/:ccc', 'myfoobarfunc');
this matches URL's like
/foobar/20/smith/33
but als
/foobar/20/smith
and
/foobar/20
and
/foobar/
Is there an easy way to do this, sauf checking the parameters on being
empty in the dispatched function() ? dispatch_strict :-) ?
Any hints welcome.
