Hi Foxray folks,

We've got a new System Auditor install set up by Schneider's Foxboro contractor.  When I do Tags in Manual reports or Tags in Local reports I'm missing most of the tags that should be there.

When I check the TAGSINMALR table it has about 3000 entries, however the MALR file that makes it to the Host every day has 26000 tags.

Any thoughts on what might be going wrong or how to test?

Cheers,

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Not sure if this will work, but you can try running the server configuration, then select the Purge Data tab. This will clear the data and allow you to archive it if you wish. This may or may not clear up the issue.

If that does not work try the Maintenance tab and then select the Rebuild Tables tab at the bottom, but don’t know which table would be the correct one.

Do the dates of the files line up? Is ftp possibly timing out during transfer? Check Task Manager to see if DCSTransferData.exe is still running. If it is and no scheduled tasks are running, it has hung up and needs terminated. You can also test manually.

Regards,

Tony

I've had no luck correcting this.
I did the purge data, repair tables, and then later rebuild tables when I was still not seeing all the information.  No joy.
The transfers are working fine.  I see the updated MALR file on the host (which comes through daily), and I can see fields in the MALR file with loops in manual or loops in local that don't show in the Tags in Manual or Tags in Local reports.  When I do an advanced query and list all the entries in the TAGSINMALR table the ones that do show appear correct, but there are far fewer (around 3000) than there should be (around 20000).

Cheers,

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

There are few things that remove a BLOCK from the tags in manual/local you need to be aware:

- Is the MA or LR block is connected to a CBP (or set by a HLBL) it will not show int he report
- if the AUTSW or MANSW is <> 0  it will also not show in the report

But if you want to ignore those checks, you can run your Import_MALR.exe as below to ignore the checks

Import_MALR.exe foxray.db  NOCHECK

Let me know if his helps

P.S: Sorry for the delay on this, I was on vacation last week.

Thanks

Thanks Ricardo, I'll check on these.

What are the conditions for a block to be in the MALR table? I see some that are there twice for the same tag and parameter.  I'd thought it might be just those with MA=0 or LR=0, but I see some in the table with MA=1 and LR=1 - is that to show the date that they changed out of manual or local?

I'm specifically only seeing about half of my PIDA blocks in the MALR table that are in manual.  I'm fairly confident we don't have MA or LR connected, as the operators switch between these modes on the faceplate.

Cheers,

Kevin

Thanks Ricardo,

Looks like that was it, thanks.

We have connections to MANSW in the ones that were not showing up.

Cheers,

Kevin
