Hi All,

My son is excited as he heard that the event is held in Ireland and that the higher than his class is going on the tour to UL.
So I advised him to look at the internet for the events and we'll plan to visit UL over weekend.
But then he came saying that there are no info about Limerick events and what he can see are some events in Cork and Dublin (?)
Could not believe until I've tried to find anything myself - with the same result :( pity...

http://www.scienceweek.ie/

Maybe I'm reading it wrong but at the same time if anybody try to bring information this way that is hard to find :(

UL is hiding this in the short news on the front page of only science department:

http://scieng.ul.ie/
link here:
http://scieng.ul.ie/news-centre/events/science-week

with again only few events and none over weekend :(

So this time it feels as more noise and proud ads from radio broadcast.

Why not organize an event for next year?

Seems like most organizers are at schools -- so no surprise that they're hitting the weekdays when they have a captive audience.

As for this year -- consider having a day out in Galway for the science fair at NUIG Sunday week (24th) 10-6 at NUIG:
Free tickets are advised for events besides the exhibition:
This is due to high demand in previous years -- it's a large, high-energy event.

All I know is that Mikael and other colleagues of mine are involved in what promises to be a cool event at the week-end:

We usually had a tent in UL exhibiting all kind, but this year they're bringing it to the city centre.

I'm sure there's more, but usually web sites don't get updated and emails only go out 1-2 days before :(

There will be some activity on campus on Friday, including UL faculty and Intel. The Intel /UL  ”Technology of Tomorrow Exhibition” is scheduled to take place in the Atrium (Foundation Building) from 10am to 3pm on Friday 15th November.  There are three shows booked in on that day of approx. 300 students for each show – 10am, 11am and 1pm.
On Saturday, we have the event in Limerick Milkmarket, starting at 17:30 with a technology and multimedia live improvisation from faculty and graduates, followed at 18:00 with the showing of the movie Back to the Future. For free tickets, book at http://www.eventbrite.ie/ and search for Limerick Milkmarket, or email Amy.O...@ul.ie

best regards
Mikael

yes, of course. I'll be setting up some demo at 12:00 noon. I think there will be talks and plenty of other demonstrations of interesting things as well.
