Lag Bar suggestion?

Do you think you could implement some sort of a lag bar or lag
indicator to at least show the current lag time ?

A lag bar is something that Xchat and some other clients have where
the client takes your pings and shows a visual representation of how
long your pingtime to the server is.

Could be like what Jeff said; or it could also be like how irssi have
on their lower part, something like 'Lag: ??? seconds'
