show messages from current channel in combined scrollback?

so far i really love limechat on OSX, the combined scrollback at the
bottom, below the input line is a feature i can't live without
anymore.

but there is one thing that really annoys me about it:

the incoming messages from the currently selected channel are not
included in the combined scrolback. not even if another non-limechat
window is focused.

it seems i had suceeded in making it include these messages, but then
i changed something and it doesnt work anymore.

is there a way to reliably make limechat include messages from the
focused channel when the app is inactive, or even all the time?
