I just started playing with LimeChat today and had a few features
suggestions.

Colored nick names. I've come to rely on having nicks colored in the
channel so I can easily see who is saying what at a glance. The way
I've seen it implimented in other clients is each character and its
case is used to determine the color of a nickname. (Both Colloquy and
X-Chat Aqua have this feature.)

Proxy support. In order to use this client from work I'd need system
proxy support.

Custom aliases. The ability to write custom aliases(commands) such as
[identify: /msg nickserv identify password], but being completely user
customizable with the command name and action.

Ability to customize theme colors without having to rewrite the theme
file. While editing CSS is easy for me, less advanced users who might
want a bit of customization would find it awkward when they just want
a change a couple colors.

The ability to scroll through channels/servers with keyboard commands.
I realize that command+number will select a channel or server but this
doesn't help if there are more open than numbers available on the
keyboard.

These are just the things I've discovered in the first few minutes of
use.

I hope an ignore feature is coming soon. Also the ability to choose
what action a double click on the nick list performs would be great.
(Open dialogue window, the current info window or a whois command.)
Speaking of. I'd also like the ability to have a /whois command
display in the server window and not in its own window.

Overall I like the layout and look. I love how everything is in one
window. Though I'm afraid I don't understand why there's a window
below the active window.

You can easily do this with ctrl + tab (move to next channel with
unread messages)

You can switch between two channels with option + tab

There is a list of key commands on this page: http://limechat.net/mac/

as far as I know only the decafbland has colored nicks, but looking
through the theme files, it shouldn't be to hard if you gave it some
effort, like you mentioned.

try cmd+up arrow or cmd+down arrow.

whois results show up in the server's status window. I'd also like to
see an ignore option

Hi,

As cr4shing mentioned about decafbland, you can do this by creating your theme.

OK. I'll consider it.

I'm planning to implement it in the MacRuby version in the near future.

It needs a lot of works.
So I would be glad if anyone would implement it.

It shows activities in the other channels except the current channel.
It makes you can grab what's going on in the other channels easily.

Apparently it does and I'm having issues...

Actually LimeChat does support +h modes.

If you would use a bouncer which has bugs, it would cause a problem like this.
Anyway I'll make work around for this problem.

Is there an /ignore command? Maybe I am just missing it. :/
