Atfirst after attempting to send email through pc I then tried mobile it did not work. I then thought it was Facebook so I reset my Facebook password and tried plugging that in as password. That did not work so I began to guess many times until Oculus sent me a conformation email to verify it was me. Which means the app can send emails but the browser can't. So I thought maybe there was a way to reset through the mobile app(there wasn't).

Hi there, thanks for bringing this to the community. Being locked out of your account is never fun. Oculus emails have sometimes been known to be marked as Promotions/Sales even if it's a password reset email, so if you have a filter for Promotions/Sales check that folder and see if the email is there. If not, please try and open a support ticket using this link.

This is terrible support. I see this issue of "no password-reset email received" over and over. After a couple years it's still broken?

And no, it's not in the Spam folder. I've checked and gMail has an 'All Mail' folder to list everything.

@NoahCyrus12 Sorry you are having this issue, it can be very frustrating when things are not working as expected.

I'm not extremely familiar with this issue but can you confirm if you are trying to reset your Meta account password? If so, are you doing that from the Meta Accounts page?

If you are able to login here with your Facebook account, then maybe you can confirm the email address and reset the password there? I've seen some confusion about which email address is being used because you may have one on your Meta account and one on the Facebook account, so there may be no password to reset if no account exists with that email address. I've seen this happen with other apps too.

Hope this helps!

I'm facing the same issue here. My original account is (REDACT). I realized this problem when Meta did not send an email as I tried to purchase a game. That's when I noticed I couldn't remember my password, and I also had no way to retrieve the PIN or password since the email resend feature doesn't work. I created this account to post in the forum, as it's impossible to seek help without a recoverable Meta account. This also represents a flaw in logic.

Having trouble with a Facebook or Instagram account? The best place to go for help with those accounts is the Facebook Help Center or the Instagram Help Center. This community can't help with those accounts.

Password Manager is a secure, self-service password manager solution. Save considerable help desk hours by enabling users to reset forgotten passwords and unlock their accounts themselves. Implement stronger password policies without worrying about impacts on your help desk team. Comply with data security standards and extend access management far beyond native AD-controlled systems.

We do not recommend use of any plug-ins for Microsoft Internet Explorer on computers where you plan to deploy Secure Password Extension, since the plug-ins extend Internet Explorer functionality and could pose security threats.

Password Manager provides a simple, secure, self-service solution that allows end users to reset forgotten passwords and unlock their accounts. It permits administrators to implement stronger password policies while reducing the helpdesk workload. Organizations no longer have to sacrifice security to reduce costs.

Most requests for helpdesk assistance are for password resets. And as organizations strive for stronger security policies, the pain of password management is becoming more pervasive. Requiring more complex passwords that must be changed more frequently increases the likelihood that users will forget them and place a call to support. The problem is magnified as organizations apply passwords to multiple, disparate systems and applications. As a result, many organizations are caught between increasing security and reducing user support costs.

It permits administrators to implement stronger password policies while reducing the helpdesk workload. Organizations no longer have to sacrifice security to reduce costs.

Password Manager enables organizations to adopt more secure data-access policies beyond the control offered natively in Microsoft Active Directory. It increases security by eliminating helpdesk errors, reducing the need for users to write down their passwords and making password guessing and break-ins more difficult. Built-in data encryption supports global access while maintaining data security.

Password Manager has a responsive web interface and provides password management for any system connected to Microsoft Identity Integration Server (MIIS). It also extends to non-Microsoft operating systems, such as Unix and Linux, through Authentication Services; the addition of two-factor authentication through Defender.

Expand the capabilities of Password Manager with the One Identity Hybrid Subscription which offers additional clouddelivered features and services. Gain access to unlimited Starling Two-Factor Authentication to protect administrative and end-user access in Password Manager replacing Telephone Verification Add-On. A single subscription enables all One Identity solution deployments.

The IST team has successfully completed the internal system reset and you are now required to create a new WatIAM password.

Please refer to the change your WatIAM password article for guidance or follow the steps at the end of this email, and make sure you create a strong password.

Reset your password by copying and pasting this link into your web browser: idm.uwaterloo.ca/watiam

We recommend that you change your password right away. You must create a new password by the timeline shared below. When that time expires, you will be locked out of your account and will need to contact IST to unlock it for you.

Grad students (non-employee), Incoming first-year undergraduates, and undergraduate students: June 22

If you manage a service, general or shared account, such as communi...@uwaterloo.ca for example, you must also create a new WatIAM password for every account within this timeframe. Otherwise, these accounts will be locked as well, and it will take time for IST to unlock them.

Your password is now reset across all of your UWaterloo accounts such as Quest, Learn, Workday, WaterlooWorks, and Outlook.

If you have used your UWaterloo password for non-UWaterloo accounts, it is advised to also change those passwords now.

Guarding the gates to your network is a three-way trust called Kerberos. This is and has been the default Microsoft Windows authentication and authorization protocol used to grant access to network applications and services since Windows Server 2000.

The user (I should say client because the user just logs in and all this goes on unbeknownst to the user) sends the TGT to the KDC Ticket Granting Server (TGS) along with the request for what the user wants to access. The TGS decrypts the TGT with the secret key shared with the AS. An encrypted token is sent back to the user, and then it is sent on to the application server. The application server then verifies the token with the shared KRBTGT hashed password and grants access to its resources to the user for a specific period of time, also known as TTL or Time to Live (default timeframe is 10 hours).

Anyone can create a forged ticket. Creating a Golden Ticket that grants access to the entire domain is a bit different. The key elements someone will have to obtain are the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) of the domain, SID (Security Identifier) of the domain, username of the account you want access to and the KRBTGT NTLM hash.

Example. A forged ticket cannot do anything. It would be like having a forged credit card, but without a correct account number. Just as a credit card needs key elements to be perceived as legit, the same is true for a Golden Ticket.

Example. This is the output from a .csv file from Enterprise Reporter and visualized with PowerBI. Through group nesting in the built-in Administrators group, you can see there are 270 objects with this permission and I can drill through to see which members have that right.
