Hi everyone,

I thought I should make the start :)

My name's Panayiotis. I've been a maker/tinkerer for as long as I can remember. When I'm not hacking stuff together, I'm a full time software developer.

A few interests:

• Riding my AV88 Mobylette on the Limassol seaside road :)
• Fanatic DIYer
  
• Electronics/microcontrollers/embedded stuff
• Coding
• Travelling!

Currently most of my time is occupied working with the rest of the CIT (Cyprus Institute of Innovation & Technology) team to promote and establish the hackerspace :)

In terms of DIY projects, I've recently started working on the common portable drive-in cinema project of the hackerspace (wiki project page here!). At some point in the near future, I also hope to get started on a mini bartop arcade cabinet.

I'm Nick and I'm a design lover, simplicity worshiper and tech enthusiast. I work as a software developer and right now I'm heavily invested in security protocols and server technologies which comes in complete contrast with the description I just gave you of myself :)

I love making all sorts of things: from home automation to lighting and furniture. But most of all I love learning along making! There are still one million techniques and instruments I long to master. 

These days I'm finishing restoring a chair from the 1970's and when I have the time, I'll start on restoring its assorted coffee table. Can't wait to hear about other people's projects.

My love for computer started by the age of 14, when I dissembled my first computer's case.

I love working with all sorts of projects, either is software or hardware, or even wood crafting.

My name is Mixalis,

I'm an engineer, programmer, both, maybe nothing...but for sure i like technology ! 

I find interesting anything that seems unknown to me...after that I'm destroying it!

I've touched a lot of aspects, from hardware to software. I can find that something is interesting until i find out that something else is more interesting than that!

I used to deal with microcontrollers/embedded systems and automation. Then i realize that i like aviation and I've started building a QuadCopter. Then i realized again that i have to learn how to develop one proper program and i started doing Software Development and blah blah blah ... you know !

I very happy that this group is getting started! Lets all make our best for it!

My name is Constantinos, I am Software developer and i really enjoy working on electronic/DIY projects. I find it very interesting to work on electronics project that relate to automations, security and robotics. My dream is to one day create a complete open source Home automation/Security system which one can easily modify and apply on its own needs and budget. I have started working on some projects that include Coil winder, Laser cnc engraver (small scale), Alarm system, Automation system. Unfortunately due to lack of time and money i am progressing very slowly on these projects.

Ok I guess it is time for me to introduce myself as well J My name is Demetris, I am 25, have short black hair… just joking! Well as my friend Christos said above I was diagnosed with the Knack as well and here I am ended up being a mechanical engineer. Unfortunately I am abroad at the moment residing and working in London but I hope to catch up with you guys face2face soon!

I have been a keen DIYer since a little child and I am pretty much interested reading and learning about anything that comes under the huge chapters of technology or science. At the moment I am developing my 3D modelling skills (SolidWorks in particular) and one of my near future targets is to become the proud father of a baby 3D printer. I do particularly enjoy flying things around, especially quadcopters, in which I can fit and play around with cameras; like this I can utilise my passion for photography as well!

I am Stelios 25 years of age. I gained BSc in Computer Networks and MSc in Digital Forensics. As a Cisco junkie, I love to plan, implement and maintaining computer network infrastructure and for that reason I am into getting my first Cisco certification. Soo whoever wants to join this amazing trip, your my hero! :-). Moreover, I love playing around with embedded systems configuring them to do some non-ordinary things. Non-ordinary rocks! My wish for hackerspace is to gather as much people as possible and start doing some serious hacking. After all, is "Hackerspacing in the beautiful island of Cyprus!!"

I like a lot all these modern gadgets (tablets, smart watches, bread makers, coffeemakers ...) which make our life easier. And whenever I see a new one I try to imagine what is the algorithm inside they are following, and then I go deeper and deeper until I see how the electrons flow through the wires.

So I like automated things. And if until now I was more a thinker together I hope to start seeing things getting done, moving, flying, swimming, singing, burning ... :)

My name is Nicholas Demetriou and i'm part of Disrupt Cyprus (https://www.facebook.com/disruptcyprus) a news portal that is promoting anything that is going on with #Entrepreneurship, #Technology, #Innovation, #Research #Startups in Cyprus. We promote events and we cover these events by providing live blogging as well. At the same time i have my own startup in Gaming and i'm designing an Edu-game that will assist the player to acquire skills and competences like coding, technical, mental and DIY skills. 

I'm not a Techies but i love technology and especially robotics, I'm really happy that there is a group of people who are willing to go the extra mile and do what they love. 

I will do my best to promote the group and assist in any way i can in order for you guys to have a place of your own where you can make things happen. 

I have many ideas which i would like to share and soon i will get in touch.

The startup community in Limassol is planning to have weekly Drink-About meetings every Friday so stay tuned and see you soon!
