Not a bug. Back in MoP Sha of Fear was supposed to be the easily accessible world boss, and Oondasta was supposed to be the harder to access boss. Sha of Fear therefore had a slightly random respawn timer in order to make it hard to predictably tag it, and Oondasta spawned very rarely.
I was very confused by this comment. Not only was Sha given a 15 min respawn timer, he was also given a static spawn point and a brief immunity to incoming damage to allow people the chance to get a tag on it. So changes were most certainly made to what it was like in MoP.
Hey guys I was just wondering what are all the world bosses currently in the game 40+ and endgame, where can they be found, and what are the timers/spawn windows for each if any of y'all wouldn't mind sharing with me
I've tried looking at google and I haven't really gotten much answers, possibly I'm not looking in the right places or the information isn't there or is outdated, so any help would be much appreciated.
There have been enough changes to the game that long delays on these is unnecessary. They should all be down to 10 minutes or so, including event ones. And for the NM Pilgrim, remove the week-long debuff. At worst, this change would make the Aratech Coral vehicle quest completable in a day. So what?
Even with a 16 person group and paying every other member of the group 2 million, that is only 30 million per run and 90 million for three weeks. With the way credits drop from the sky in this game, that seems to be a reasonable price to me.
The debuff was to set timer because this boss drops top gear by that time and the playerbase was much bigger than now. It started to turn cold since 2.0 and the debuff serves 0 purpose now. It needs to be removed, simple.
Whey would it need a change? It requires 4 ppl, so you just need to find 3 (they dont need the quest to be able to do the mission, it can be random people that have the time. I see people asking for this constantly so it seems they are able to find people for it.
the fact that I payed for it doesnt mean I couldnt get a group, it was just because of my situation. If you play 10-12 hours a week you dont have the time to look for a group, like the people who play all weekend and when they come from work or school. My time is limited so I need the stuff NOW so I pay for it. Its just like in real life, if you have the time to wait, it costs less, if you have the money you can have it all, right away.
However, I will concede that I forgot about the buff which one gets by beating NiM pilgrim. There's one from the worldbreaker monolith too, but its only for colossal monolith which like other ops bosses is a weekly lockout so its irrelevant. If, because of the buff, you want to restrict the number of times you can do NiM pilgrim in a week, that's fine, but it doesn't need to be five days. Besides the buff, none of the other bosses required for Aratech Coral have five day lockouts so I don't see why its necessary to gate the vehicle. Revanite Walker does drop a pretty cool deco, as does WB Monolith, but getting 16-24 person groups together to fight those are de-facto lockouts themselves.
It's just frustrating that when our guild ops group has some free time at the end of an evening, there are never world bosses up, because most of the timers are measured in terms of hours. I don't see the point of that anymore. I think the time and effort required to get a group of 16 people together to fight these things is a sufficient rate-limiting step by itself.
Because it's a long solo chain till the end, if you don't have the quest you get NO REWARD after a long run. This is a very very bad design because it have strict group requirement and not enough motivation to get enough ppl doing them.
Finally Blizz is smartening up about some of this stuff. There is no real reason for keeping mounts from 7+ years ago as a small drop rate. It served its purpose at that time, you have to let it go at a certain point. They add new rare mounts all the time, they don't have to keep the old ones that way.
They should really just put all (loot, mounts, etc) on a vendor once the content hits over five years. Create an "old token," then players can do old content to earn "old tokens" that will buy you the old stuff from the vendor (if you want it).
I agree that mop world boss mounts should have their drop rate increased because the drop rate was insanely low (0.05) 2000 + kills. Ive been farming them for 10 years without any joy. However i don't think blizzard should adjust all old rare drop rates or make old mounts token based like you suggest. There is no justification to make something free just because it is 5 years old. That would ruin the collecting fun for mount collectors and you wouldn't appreciate the mount anyway if it was very easy to get. If they adjust any other drop rates it should purely be mounts below 1%
The Throne of Thunder / Nalak tip also works for characters who have not done the Isle of Thunder intro. When you use the beacon in the raid you'll end up on a boat. There should be an orb you can click that will teleport you to the beach and from there you just run to the Nalak spawn area.
The D4Planner World Boss timer shows how long until each boss will spawn, and provides future times for expected boss spawns to occur. World bosses spawn every 3.5 hours, and players are given 15 minutes to kill them before they disappear.
We recently announced our plans for the exciting new megaserver system in Guild Wars 2, which will help maximize your social experience in the open world. Making this transition requires some changes to the way world bosses function, as we will no longer have specific worlds in PvE.
World bosses come in various shapes and sizes, from raids on the temples in Orr, to large encounters like the Shatterer, to mega-organized encounters like Tequatl. Currently, all of these bosses have unique timers that differ from world to world. When we released the API to track world events, it was almost immediately put to use in creating a way for people on different worlds to track the status of meta-events and world bosses.
Of course, starting every single world event every hour would probably be a bit overwhelming and spread players quite thin. We have therefore adopted a set of rotations to control world event activations in this new system. These rotations are based on three classifications of world events:
This system will also bring about a few changes to most of these events. For example, any of these events that did not previously have a failure mechanic or a timer will be getting one. This serves to keep the schedule accurate and ease the technical burden of these large-scale events. This and other changes will be detailed in the release notes.
Any event that does not appear on this list will continue to operate as before, with timings that are based on the state and conditions of the map they occur in. Notably, the Temples of Orr will not be synchronized at this time since they heavily influence the content ecosystem that they exist in.
Some of the bosses on the schedule above have had their difficulty scaling, event chains surrounding them, and even some of their abilities updated to help prepare them for their new appearance in the rotation. We encourage you to go out and take them all on to see how each has changed and earn your daily rewards!
Unlike a standard Guild Mission, a Guild World Event does not award any merits or commendations at this time. It does, however, give your guild a chance to access the content and claim daily event rewards and achievements on your own time.Regarding Cross-Map World StateA defining point of the dynamic event system in Guild Wars 2 is its capacity to impact the state of the world and unlock access to certain content and resources. Some examples of this are waypoints, dungeons, and the temples of the human gods in Orr.
