Salam Everyone,

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for their support yesterday.

Form submission statistics for yesterday:

Total Houses in Lily : 155

Submission During Meeting : 49
Submission During Walkabout: 35 (including 10 by verbal agreement who
will pass the form later this week)
Grand Total : 84 houses

With this current amount:

a. RM50 per household for 2 guards
b. RM74 per household for 3 guards
c. RM98 per household for 4 guards

Note: Price including RM2 charge for collection by Sri Lara

Not sure if my neighbour Meno spoke to you? He wasn't sure about the whole security thing so I explained it to him and he said he will email you directly. My other neighbour Leon is also interested but i think he came back quite late last night, not sure if you guys managed to get him.

Sorry I had to leave the presentation earlier yesterday as I had to attend a dinner.

Will we be doing another walkabout to hopefully get 16 more to hit the target of 100?

Salam,

Attached is the current status for Lily Security Guard form collection to date. In short we've almost achieve the 100 mark and close to 64% of all Lily is agreeable with this idea. 

Target:

1. We still have a large number (21%) under unknown category. Can we work to get this number to below 5%?
2. Out of 64% there's slightly more than 12% is still under verbal.

Based on the current forms collected including verbal, we can get 3 guards in Lily for RM64 per household.

The full statistics is in the attachment for viewing.

It's great that we can start off with at least 3 guards. I suggest we start collecting the RM80 from all the agreeable households and let Sri Lara know that we are ready to roll so as not to delay the G&G plan. Target was to start by 1 Dec right? In the meantime, as for the unknown houses, probably the street reps can help out?

For those who have not sign up for the Security services, please consider doing so, as all of us wish and want a good place to live and also safe & peace environment.  Together, we can achieve it better and secure our living place.

 

- Suggest with 2 day guard & 2 night guard, for more effective security system and regular patrolling must be implace, i.e. 1 to 2 hours each visit.  If only 1 guard, then the patrolling system may have problem, as not body at exist area.

At the moment, I'm waiting for Prof Ajit's discussion with the Sri Lara about the one month trial and also how to collect the first payment.

The current status is:

We have a total of 84 household who handed over the form, we need another 16 to achieve 100. 15 of the 16 have given verbal agreement but have yet to give the form.

So, at the value of 84, we can get 4 guards at RM98 per month or 3 guards at RM74.

I've also just confirm with the Sri Lara that there will not be any one month trial. Payment have to be made of total 3 months in advanced. 

If you want we can begin with only 84 household with 3 guards for 3 months. This means each house will have to pay in total RM222. I can call Sri Lara now and let them set up the booth at the park for the whole week to gather payment from everyone.

Actions that can be taken:

1. Push for the verbals and unknowns

2. Have a committee meeting asap to proceed with only 84 household.

Regarding the guards, I will suggest the committee to draw up a plan on how the guards will cover the entire neighborhood, where the guard post be situated and their patrol durations. Based on the last conversation with Sri Lara, the ball seems to be push to us. 

There is one concern that I took note from my rows as there are questions on how effective will this guards be as we are sharing border with the older housing. So before we commit the the three months payment, it will be prudent for the committee to be clear on the execution. We may lose resident opting out if the expectations are not manage properly.

I suggest draft a plan for this Gate & Guard system that plan to implement at Lily resident between the security provider and table to the committees review and do the security company still pending anything from the resident or collection of fund for this job?  During the trial period the resident committees could evaluate the performance for the job on Lily resident security services.  For G & G plan may require reviewing from time to time on improving it for the all concern and decide by the committees.

I had a talk with a mr saberi concerning our security guard implementation plans. To get approval, we must have more than 80% approval in order to implement this. He also claimed that the calculation do not include the empty houses, which is good for us. 

Now, i have been hearing a lot of stories with different versions but no confirmation. I suggest a volunteer to mpsj hq to get the necessary current info for us to take the next action. I was planning to do this today if I can squeeze some time.

To set up a Guarded Neighbourhood (GN).

1. GN is allowed only it is within MPSJ area with high crime rate recorded by the police. - not sure-

2. GN is not allowed if there is any main public facilities. - complied -

3. MPSJ can determine the number of houses in the GN - we can notify them -

4. Must be a registered resident association to notify MPSJ and set up GN - not in compliance -

5. Agreed by majority of neighborhood - complied if majority means more than 50% -

6. Guard booth cannot be more than 1.8m x 2.4m. Will need approval TOL from PTD - unimportant for now -

7. At least 1 guard is assigned (24hours) at the manual boom gate or any kind of road blocks. - unimportant for now -

9. The security guards must be registered by KDN   - refer to security company. Sri Lara complies -

Our main problem is number 4. I suggest a meeting concerning the above asap.

As highlighted previously, we can always start with day guards without gate more as deterence to break in crime.

These requirements below are for a gated community which personally I do not want which is why I purchase in Lilly & not a gated community in the first place.

Presence of guard particularly during the day & assistance during security breach is what I feel needed. Full fledge G&G is over the top and not what I need.

The committee will have to meet and decide on this then inform everyone.
