the hbase.xml in Lily has the following configuration:

      <name>hbase.zookeeper.property.clientPort</name>

      <value>true</value>
    </property>

Is there anything missing ?

Hi,

Lily doesn't support HBase 0.96 yet, among other things the rpc
interface of HBase has quite changed in that version.

We recommend to use Cloudera, the latest version (except for the CDH5
beta) should work fine.
