Hey yall,
This week we will begin the church wide Homegroup Sync. This means that the church has provided us with material that all the homegroups will be using and I think it will align somewhat with the Sunday morning teaching.
Alan is going to teach this week. We will need someone to teach each week of the series... lessons are provided so it's basically just reading the lesson and asking the questions. I think we have homework with each lesson. I'll let you know if we have anything that we need to do for this week's lesson!
Anyone want to bring snack this week? We will pass around a sign up this week!

**Don't forget! Church picnic tomorrow at Lake Benson is still on... Lil Su is assigned Desserts!! (Be listening out for last minute change of plans in case it is raining).
Patrick's Birthday is Saturday, May 4! Happy Birthday Patrick!!!
Su Nica Golf Tournament is on May 11. We will need help collecting donations for prizes, setting up for the event and the dinner, and most important - getting the word out so people will sign up to play!
Josh returns from Nicaragua on Wednesday!

This week we are in week 2 of Rooted in the Word, the Oak City church wide study. Kris and Erin are going to lead us this week as we learn another technique for studying the bible- the Visualization method. Last week we learned the Pronunciation method.
McLambs have snack this week.
Also, don't forget to do your daily homework. We will be getting cards for week 2 to give you but if you need to find the daily verses online, you can get them here...http://www.oakcitychurch.com/node/897 (This link currently has Week 1; not sure if it will be updated or if a new link will be provided)

Su Nica Golf Tournament is this Saturday at the Neuse Golf Club. Begins at 1pm but come a little earlier to register. We have lots of really great prizes to give away including IPad Mini and a few trips (Florida and Atlanta) as well as many gift cards to local businesses and restaurants. Please invite people to participate in the fundraiser. We can email you the flyer if you want to send it to friends. You can also direct people to our Su Nica facebook page for more info.
