Hello,
I work for IBM and I happen to have an early access to a server with
Sandy Bridge EP processors (the server parts - model 45/0x2D, not the
desktop ones - model 42/0x2A.
When I tried to run likwid-perfctr on such a beast, the code failed. I
tried to lie, pretending the system was a SANDYBRIDGE and not a
XEON_SANDYBRIDGE but that failed too. It seems the UNCORE parts are
different on server processors.
Is it something that you are aware of ? And how can I help ? I work in
HPC and likwid seems a very valuable tool for these environments.
