Hi everybody,
release 2.0 is out. Apart from the things already in the beta release
the following new features are added:
* Full support for AMD Magny Cours
* Support for the Intel Nehalem EX core events
* Daemon mode in likwid-perfctr: Adds a -d switch where you specify
the frequency of counter readout. The counters are only read out,
overhead is minimum. This can be used as a monitoring tool or to
measure a timeline of events for a running application.
* Logical pinning can also be used in likwid-perfctr
Next things on the TODO list are:
* Implement support for the Nehalem EX Uncore
* Port the multiplex functionality for likwid-perfctr
* Optional integrate the pin functionality in perfctr to get rid of
the duplicate core id list
* Windows Port (already started by Klaus S.)
* MacOSX Port
Next long term plans are:
* Performance top: Top like display of important performance data on a
node
There will be also binary packages in the future. I want to provide
deb and rpm packages.
Of course the final aim is to get likwid in the distributions of
Debian (Ubuntu) and Fedora.
I started with likwid-topology:

The other tools will follow.
Have fun,
Jan
