Hello My dear groupmates
Since most people have voted for YES,
we don't need to wait till Sunday la. As peers said, we'd better work fast, otherwise 2007 will just pass loh. So my suggestion is that we have to finish our preparation in one or two weeks time, which is before 2nd Febrary.
As I suggested before, we can divide this job into several tasks and each subgroup do their own task then we combine. For example,
welfare team works out a write up for our whole project, how we prepare, how we teach, how we do reflection, what is our SOLO, and all the major stuff about our trip.
Sophia and Jiaoling's team works out a proposal about who gonna present, how we gonna present(what are the topics ,how to emphasize and so on) and what the day we should wear such things.
Logistic team settles the pictures and videos that we are going to present. What's the sequence that we present, which one is suitable and also modify and beautify some. And also makes the powerpoint.
Foundraising team settles the time(a proper time), venue(a enough and comfortable), geusts(who are we invite and make sure we can invite) and such details.
Above are my suggestion, hope everyone can think through this event and makes your own comments and ideas (let's say, for example, the work for my fellows is too much la)by replying this email. Let's set the deadline to next MONDAY, after that we will have a plan and will start working!
Let's first discuss via email; hope we can build a strong vitual team^^ If it's not ok, we can organise meetings la.
Regards
Teng Lei

Dear All,
I'm from Welfare Team. Is your so called "write up" a report like an essay? I assume we just do presentation without the long long essay leh...
If we need to do a "write up", what extent do we need to specify the content (how we prepare, how we teach...) to?
Hi, Huming
I don't think it will be a long long essay leh~~
Of course u can use simple words lah, but do describe what was going on cause that will be easy to just cut and paste from your write up to our final powerpoint.
And if u slip it up into every one's task, it won't be very long for everybody lah. Such like one person write what is our SOLO, one persons write what we obtain in Kunming, two persons write what about our lessons in lijiang, how do we prepare...I think equal distribution will not cause a lot of work. Of course u can write a little la, as long as u let the presentor knows what need to say loh.

Teng Lei

Hello My dear groupmates
Dear friends:
Looks like a long long
time I didn't disturbe you lah.
Please look
through this carefully, since your name may appear on our lucky
draw.
Been discussed by Jinzhao's group, some basic issue are settled.
1. The names of the presenters are listed below:
a. MC: Xie Wei ; Han Ling (intro about who we are and what are we doing)
b. What we have done in Lijiang: Su Le, Zhengyu (mainly the teaching process)
(may including some skits)
c. How we feel: Huang Ruixiang, Huang Sihua (shall include what we obtain in both Dr Tan's Clinic and Rainbow house, and also how this team influence you. A little bit personal.)
d. Last part(show video) life in lijiang : MC (which is easily showing pictures about our life)
e. FAQs (all)
f. Ushers : Huang Min, Sunzhong Yinan, and Zhang Xuan (Stand outside the place where we will present and ask people to come in lah)
2. Dressing(only for speakers and ushers):
For boys: 白衬衫,西装裤,黑皮鞋
For girls: pretty and attractive
3. Presenters should start to prepare what to say about their topic, better work as pairs. I know it's hard to say something without looking at our final ppt, but I should say that the ppt will be not having too much words on it; mainly depands on you.
4. Jinzhao's group will make this "Invitation and thanking card". Basically it's a beautiful cards with our appreciation words, it will also specify our presentation time and location. So when you come to invite your professors and friends, you may give this card as well in order to express thanks and remind them to come. By the way, who is asking for the sponsor's name list? Please reply to my email address.
5. And thankfully we get the permission from Joshua to design our own LOGO! Designer will be Zhong Hua and Sunzhong Yinan. You can join them by contacting them.
6. The last thing is that we will have our final face-to-face meeting this Friday. Time and venue to be comfirmed later. And Xie Wei is busy booking our venue for presentation, which time would be around next Monday or Wednesday. It's coming!!
By the way, any suggestion please feel free to send to my email address~~
Cheers

Dear lijiang trip members;
Good news!!! We have settled our friday meeting venue already... It is a cozy conference room located at BIE school. The meeting will start at 7 pm (because some of the people will not be free until 6:30). And I understand that most of us do not know where the conference room is. So can we meet outside LT19A at 6:55pm??Then I will guide you there..
and for the presentation, we have sent request to jiali's school. The suggested time will be from 6pm to 10pm next monday at CBE LT1. I will update you guys once we get the approval from the school. If anyone find the time is not very suitable due to lessons, please reply me via asdf...@hotmail.com. We may change the time again... All the details will be told and comfirmed at friday's meeting. Any problems and suggestions about the time and venue?? Please feel free to ask me.
all the best to our presentation! ![]()
regards
xie wei

Hello My dear groupmates
hi all,
Josh is leaving for Cambridge on Sept 25 to do his masters in third-world development studies.
So come & celebrate this new chapter of his Christ-led life.
No cheesy farewells or theme dressing. Just come pysched to eat, groove, chill and sabo.
Time: 15 Sept Sat (6pm to late)
Venue: 57 Namly Avenue Singapore (267628)
RSVP: By Thurs (13 Sept) to Grace Ng - 98276246; grac...@gmail.com
Cost: TBA (max $16 inclusive of catered food and Anti-farewell Gift/Memorabilia)
Directions to 57 Namly Avenue: (see attached map)
1) Nearest mrt is Clementi. From the Clementi central bus interchange, take bus 156 and alight at the bus-stop outside Nanyang Girls High School (adjoining-National Junior College). Other buses that stop there are 157, 171, 67, 151, 852, 174, 74, 77, 154.
Cross the overhead bridge to Namly Avenue (parallel to Hwa Chong Junior College swimming pool) and walk about 10 min, past Singapore Management Institute and SM Goh Chok Tong's mansion (look out for the brawny gurkhas at the guardhouse). 57 Namly Avenue is on your left.
2) Alternative bus route: Take bus 970 or 77 and alight along 6th Avenue after Jalan Haji Alias. Cross the road and look out for Phua Chu Kang's house (the real one, not the studio) marking the start of Namly Avenue. If you don't watch PCK and can't recognise his ah-beng abode, then too bad for you, go by bus route 1.
If you are driving, just parallel-park freely in the Namly vicinity along the roads with dotted lines. Don't worry, SM Goh's gurkhas don't double up as traffic police or carpark-coupon amahs.
