Dear GreenValley Team,

while working with the LiGrip O2 Lite I have noticed the following issues:

  1. When scanning in Closed Mode, the RealTimeResult folder does not contain any .las or .xyz files. Only a .lislam file is generated.

  2. In addition, in Closed Mode there is significant drift, especially in multi‑storey buildings. The individual floors are shifted against each other, which severely affects the data quality.

  3. In Open Mode, .las and .xyz files are generated, but the drift along long, straight paths is still clearly visible.

I have verified that I am working with the current app version (e.g. 2.1.3) and firmware. The behavior is reproducible.

My questions:

  • Is this behavior known, and is there already a fix or update available?

  • Is it planned that in Closed Mode .las and .xyz files will also be generated in the RealTimeResult folder in the future?

  • What are the currently recommended workarounds to minimize drift in multi‑storey scans?

Thank you very much for your feedback.

Best regards, Danny [Last Name]

Hi Danny,

For your questions, for open-scene mode the real time point cloud is not available, but for the other modes it should be fine. Do you have any screenshots or videos recorded for us to refer to? And for your questions, to prevent a drifting issue please always close the loop while collecting the data. For RTK modes please initialize outside with fixed satellites numbers >20 and do figrure 8 before and after the collection. And do not move it when it is initializing. While you are inside you can try to place some gcps to make optimization for postprocessing.

I hope the information above will help you with successful data collection, feel free to catch up with more information.

Best

Sean
