Welcome to the FXA Spring 2014 Tuesday Night Co-ed Flag Football League!
First off, I want to apologize for sending this email out so late, but I was out sick most of last week. As always, we want to thank all of you team managers for taking the time to organize a team to play in FXA Football this season. We very much appreciate your efforts.
Next, we have decided to eliminate the captain's meeting this season because attendance has been very low, and it's nearly impossible to get everyone together the same night and at the same time. With that said, below are important league policies that all players need to understand and follow, so please forward this email to all of your players:
- The season begins tomorrow night, Tuesday March 24th for most teams and ALL GAMES WILL PLAY ON TURF FIELDS.
- The Season will begin this week and the Schedule is now posted on the website. We had to make several changes to the schedule, so the final schedule is now available today. To access the schedule, click on the Master Schedule Tab (on the left side of website). You can also access your team’s season schedule by going to the Schedules, Scores, & Standings Tab at the top and selecting schedule. From there, click on Season: Spring 2014, then select your Tuesday Co-ed League Division: then select your Team. You can also bookmark this page by clicking the paper clip on the right side of the page, and saving that link to your desktop or phone.
- Next, all players must use the player registration links to add themselves onto the team roster before tomorrow night to avoid the $10 late fee. Any player that registers after tomorrow night (the 1st night of games) will incur a $10 late fee. Captains can make changes to your team roster up until week 2 of the season, after that time the registration links will not work, and your roster will be locked for the final 6 games and for the playoffs. So essentially you have 2 weeks to try out and add players to your roster. If you need to remove players, please email their full name, email address, and your team name to foot...@fairfaxathletics.com with Football Player Removal in the Subject Line, and I will remove them from your team. Remember, roster checks will be performed during the playoffs.
- We have eliminated the manager’s password, so moving forward, please use the email address and password that was used to register the team to view your roster, and personalize your team webpage. Your roster must be entered into the system before your 1st game, and all players must use the new Player Registration link to add themselves to your roster.
- In addition, because there are 70 TEAMS in the Tuesday Night league, ALL TEAMS will have to play 1-2 games on a Monday & Thursday night, in addition to Tuesday Nights. We simply can't sustain having everyone play all on 1 night, and we simply do not have the field space either. Please make sure to tell your players TODAY, so they know they will have to play a few games on days other than Tuesday.
