Good Day to all LightPainters!
I hope this message finds you in excellent health and extremely high spirits!
We need to start thinking about our next photo shoot(s), and in order to try and gain momentum, why don't we try for two in March? Would you be interested?
Still Life?Several members have indicated that they would enjoy another 'still life' photo shoot, so please let me know how you feel about that.
Your next two choices...The following two choices from our 'election results' last June are "The Clock Tower, V&A Waterfront and Yacht Club", followed by the "Drakenstein Lion Park".
We have already discussed the difficulties we would face in the Waterfront, especially if we arrive there with our cameras, tripods, and other equipment en masse. In a nutshell, we may be prohibited to take pictures inside or near the malls. For the other parts, it may be necessary to secure appropriate permissions.
For the Lion Park, the only difficulty would be the lack of variety in subjects, and as a result, the short duration of that photo shoot. One solution here would be to combine it with something else, e.g. another visit to the nearby Butterfly World, or we could combine the Lion Park with a subsequent (or prior) visit to the Taalmonument (the Afrikaans Language Monument).
Either way, please give us your thoughts on the above, and let us know which of the two options you would prefer.
Questions to answer:
- Would you be interested in having 2 photo shoots in March?
- Would you like one of the 2 photo shoots to be a Still Life photo shoot (indoors)?
- For our next 'official' photo shoot, would you like to go to the "V&A Waterfront, Yacht Club and Clocktower" OR to "The Drakenstein Lion Park"?
Please send your responses to the above by 12:30 on Monday, 3rd March 2008. As usual, from all the submitted responses, the 'majority vote' will decide our next moves.
Best regards to all and have a Wonderful Mid-Week!
