I was just curious as to whether we had any plans to create a guild
tabard. I mean, who doesn't love a guild tabard?

There was talk about it, with the shackles or the fist gripping the
lightning bolt as the icon. I think a white tabard would stand out
more, everyone else seems to think white would clash. given my sense
of aesthetics, I'd say go with everyone else :)
If you like a tabard design, make a proposal and shop it around, I
guess. not sure how to show it off.

Actually, a white tabard looks fabulous... I just changed the guild
tabard on my server to white with blue trim and a grey icon. The
biggest problem I've run into is that some people thing that it looks
too feminine. I sort of wanted to make them run around in a bright
pink tabard for a couple of days. :-D

Apparently when the GM changes the tabard, guild members can stand
there and see it, or so someone was telling me. I'm not sure exactly
how this works because I didn't realize the function existed... I just
vote not brown...

Just wanting to bring this one back to the table.

I'd have to agree with the "Please not white or brown" thing, because
it really does clash for certain chars, but I'll really be happy with
whatever. I think we have enough in the guild tab for a tabard these
days. :)

I'm all for a tabard, but i'm not really sure how we can avoid clashing.  Especially since gear changes so much as we level, I have to imagine that over the course of leveling the same tabard will have widely varying levels of clashing/matching for each of us. I would suggest just choosing a color and symbol that is meaningful to the guild and stands out in some way--who wants a boring tabard??

I think someone needs to make a proposal, and we can vote. Or,
ideally, we could have more than one proposal and vote. :)
I'll see if I can't cook up something tonight.
Perhaps we should decide on a symbol, and then colors?
The shackles have been suggested.

Sadly, Seth, I believe that you are the only one who can actually go
in and look at tabards... I would go in and try to make one on the
account that I am a GM on, but I am afraid that I might accidentally
change the tabard and start another riot. In my experience, there will
not be a tabard that everyone likes, but a few options with a vote is
good...

No, we can all /look/ at tabards :) I am the only one can make it.

I played with the tabards for a while.  I like the shackles and borders in gray on a black background.  I'm with Tal.  Frankly, I haven't cared about the appearance of my char.  Stats have been the only decision maker for what my char wears.  So I don't really care if it clashes with anything.

I'm vain enough to consider fashion, but, honestly, nothing says one has to buy the tabard if they don't want to--I rarely buy the tabards of the guilds I am in. http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/guild-info.xml?r=Sisters+of+Elune&n=Love+is+a+Battlefield&p=1 will show you part of the reason why.

Then why don't you put some thought into it and propose something?  You are going to care about appearances way more than I am, so chances are, I will be happy with what ever you come up with.  So those of you aesthetically gifted folk, have at it.
