upgrading old lightning to latest

Good day!

We have this project in 4D v13 that uses lighting on that version, not sure what version this is but we are looking to upgrading it  to v20 and to the latest lightning version along with it.

I was hoping to get advise or tips on how best to do it.

Was thinking along the lines of staging it, like step to v16 first then to v20.

What would be the best approach to make the updgrade less painful?  ;-)

If you are using 4D V13 then you must be using Lightning V4 or earlier. To use Lightning V5 upwards (you have used V5 before it seems from my records re: Mike Beatty) you will need to completely rewrite you app, as the new stuff is Objects and ORDA based.

Depending on which version of Lightning you are currently using, I may be able to provide that version for 4D V20 to ease the pain. It all depends on how "big" your app is, to determine the upgrade commitment you will require. I can always help.
